ATO Small Business Super Clearing House Is Closing – What You Need to Know
The ATO has confirmed that the Small Business Superannuation Clearing House (SBSCH) will permanently close on 30 June 2026, with no access available from 1 July 2026 onward.
This change is part of the government’s Payday Super reforms, which require employers to pay super at the same time as wages from 1 July 2026. The SBSCH was built for quarterly payments and won’t support this new, more frequent model.
What this means for your business:
- You must move to another super payment solution (payroll software, commercial clearing house, or super fund service) before July 2026.
- You must download the transaction activity reports for your records prior to 30 June 2026.
We recommend transitioning to payday super as soon as possible. If you need assistance with managing your cashflow or setting up a new Clearing House, please contact us.
